BrLXXΟὐδαμῶς δὲ ληγόντων τῶν πόνων, ἐπεληλύθει γὰρ ἐπʼ αὐτὸν δικαία ἡ τοῦ Θεοῦ κρίσις, τὰ κατʼ αὐτὸν ἀπελπίσας, ἔγραψε πρὸς τοὺς Ἰουδαίους τὴν ὑπογεγραμμένην ἐπιστολήν, ἱκετηρίας τάξιν ἔχουσαν, περιέχουσαν δὲ οὕτως·
   (Oudamōs de laʸgontōn tōn ponōn, epelaʸluthei gar epʼ auton dikaia haʸ tou Theou krisis, ta katʼ auton apelpisas, egrapse pros tous Youdaious taʸn hupogegrammenaʸn epistolaʸn, hiketaʸrias taxin eⱪousan, perieⱪousan de houtōs; )

BrTrBut for all this his pains would not cease: for the just judgment of God was come upon him: therefore despairing of his health, he wrote unto the Jews the letter underwritten, containing the form of a supplication, after this manner:


WEBBEBut when his sufferings did in no way cease, for the judgement of God had come upon him in righteousness, having given up all hope for himself, he wrote to the Jews the letter written below, having the nature of a supplication, to this effect:
