HAPHebrew accents and phrasing: See Allan Johnson's Hebrew accents and phrasing analysis.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns

עָלַ֛יִךְ

at,you

The pronoun you refers to Nineveh, which Yahweh described as a prostitute in [3:4](../03/04.md). If this is not clear for your readers, you could use the name. Alternate translation: [on you, Nineveh the prostitute]

Note 2 topic: translate-symaction

וְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥י עָלַ֛יִךְ שִׁקֻּצִ֖ים

and,throw at,you filth

The word translated as filth refers to all kinds of garbage. Throwing garbage on a person was a sign of strong contempt. Alternate translation: [I will show utter contempt for you]
