Here, iniquity could represent: (1) the sin itself, meaning the sinfulness of the people is worse than the sinfulness of Sodom. Alternate translation: [the wickedness of the daughter of my people is greater than the wickedness of Sodom] or (2) the punishment for sin, meaning God has punished the people more severely than he punished Sodom. The UST follows this reading. Alternate translation: [the punishment of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of Sodom]
