Alternate translation: [And the one offering the sacrifice shall skin]

וְנִתַּ֥ח אֹתָ֖הּ לִנְתָחֶֽיהָ
and,cut DOM=her/it into,pieces_of,its
The author of Leviticus assumes his audience will know what portions of the animal constituted its pieces. These would have included but perhaps not been limited to the head, suet, innards and legs, as [1:8-9](../01/08.md) suggest. If the phrase its pieces would not be clear in your context, consider listing what pieces these are. Alternate translation: [and he shall separate it into its appropriate portions]
Note 2 topic: writing-poetry
וְנִתַּ֥ח אֹתָ֖הּ לִנְתָחֶֽיהָ׃
and,cut DOM=her/it (Some words not found in UHB: and,skin DOM the,burnt_offering and,cut DOM=her/it into,pieces_of,its )
This expression is an emphatic construction that uses a verb and its object, both of which come from the same root. The word cut translates a verb that comes from the same root as the noun pieces. You may be able to use the same construction in your language to express the meaning here. Alternatively, your language may have another way of showing the emphasis.
1:6 The entire animal was to be burned, except for the skin, which was the priest’s share of the offering (7:8).
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
