Alternate translation: “and that each of you knows” (2) describe more specifically what it means to avoid “sexual immorality” (See: 4:3). Here, the word vessel could refer to: (1) a person’s sexual organ. This is a euphemism. Alternate translation: “to possess his own sexual organ” (2) a man’s wife. This is a metaphor. Alternate translation: “to possess his own wife”

Alternate translation: “to marry a wife”

Alternate translation: “the vessel that is his”
