BrLXX Καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐπὶ τῷ κάλλει αὐτῆς, καὶ ἐθαύμαζον τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ ἀπʼ αὐτῆς· καὶ εἶπεν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ, τίς καταφρονήσει τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, ὃς ἔχει ἐν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκας τοιαύτας; ὅτι οὐ καλόν ἐστιν ὑπολείπεσθαι ἐξ αὐτῶν ἄνδρα ἕνα, οἳ ἀφεθέντες δυνήσονται κατασοφίσασθαι πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν·
(Kai ethaumazon epi tōi kallei autaʸs, kai ethaumazon tous huious Israaʸl apʼ autaʸs; kai eipen hekastos pros ton plaʸsion autou, tis katafronaʸsei tou laou toutou, hos eⱪei en heautōi gunaikas toiautas; hoti ou kalon estin hupoleipesthai ex autōn andra hena, hoi afethentes dunaʸsontai katasofisasthai pasan taʸn gaʸn; )
BrTr And they wondered at her beauty, and admired the children of Israel because of her, and every one said to his neighbour, Who would despise this people, that have among them such women? surely it is not good that one man of them be left, who being let go might deceive the whole earth.
