Paragraph 2:10–12

Again Paul asked the Thessalonian believers to remember that he and his companions had behaved correctly when they had been with them and that also they had taught the believers how to behave in order to be worthy of sharing in God’s greatness.

2:10a

You are witnesses, and so is God,

You are witnesses, and so is God: Paul continued to assert that he and his companions had behaved correctly. He also reminded the Thessalonians that they had seen this and could confirm it, as could God himself.

2:10b

of how holy, righteous, and blameless our conduct was among you who believed.

how holy, righteous, and blameless our conduct was among you who believed: This means that Paul, Silvanus and Timothy behaved towards the Thessalonians in holy, righteous and blameless ways. Their behavior was appropriate and above reproach. Here is another way to translate this verse:

You are our witnesses, and so is God, that our conduct toward you who believe was pure, right and without fault. (GNT)

holy: The Greek word hosiōs, which the BSB translates as holy, means, in this context, being “morally pure, without any sin.” See “holy", sense A4 in KBT and in the glossary, meaning 2.

righteous: The Greek word dikaiōs, which the BSB translates as righteous, means, in this context, “upright, just conduct.” See righteous under the entry for “just", sense A2a in KBT and in the glossary, meaning 2.

blameless: The Greek word amemptōs, which the BSB translates as blameless, means “without fault,” that is, God will not accuse the blameless person of any sin.

among you who believed: Paul was probably not saying that he behaved differently with the Thessalonian believers than he did with unbelievers. He was simply referring to what the Thessalonians knew from their personal experience.

(Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ὑμεῖς μάρτυρες καί ὁ Θεός ὡς ὁσίως καί δικαίως καί ἀμέμπτως ὑμῖν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐγενήθημεν)

Here Paul speaks as if he were summoning both the Thessalonians and God as witnesses to testify on their behalf before a judge. He means that both the Thessalonians and God know how he and his fellow workers acted. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a similar figure of speech or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [You and God can declare how] or [You and God know how]

The terms piously, righteously, and blamelessly mean similar things. Paul is using the three terms together for emphasis. If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with only one or two terms. Alternate translation: [righteously] or [properly and and purely]
