OET (OET-RV) subverting a person’s lawsuit—the master approves none of those.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
לְעַוֵּ֤ת אָדָם֙ בְּרִיב֔וֹ
(Some words not found in UHB: to,subvert humankind in,his_case_of,at_law my=master not approve )
The writer is speaking of acting unjustly toward someone as if it were physically twisting or distorting him, using the same image as “turn aside” in the previous verse. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [to deal unjustly with a man in his legal case]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
אֲדֹנָ֖י לֹ֥א רָאָֽה
my=master not approve
This could mean: (1) that the Lord does not regard with approval the wrong actions described in verses 34–36. Alternate translation: [the Lord does not approve] or (2) that the author is using the question form for emphasis. Alternate translation: [does the Lord not see it?] or [the Lord certainly sees it!]
OET (OET-RV) subverting a person’s lawsuit—the master approves none of those.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
