OET (OET-LV) YHWH soldiers/messengers he_will_defend (on)_them and_they_will_eat and_they_will_subdue stones_of a_sling and_they_will_drink they_will_be_in_an_uproar like wine and_they_will_be_full like_bowl like_the_corners the_altar.
OET (OET-RV) Commander-in-chief Yahweh will defend them,
⇔ and they will devour them and deflect the stones from the slings.
⇔ Then they’ll drink and shout like men drunk on wine,
⇔ and they’ll be filled with wine like bowls,
⇔ drenched like the corners of the altar.
Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns
יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֮ יָגֵ֣ן עֲלֵיהֶם֒
YHWH armies/messengers defend (on),them
The pronoun them refers to Yahweh’s people. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [Yahweh of Armies will defend his people]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
וְאָכְל֗וּ וְכָֽבְשׁוּ֙ אַבְנֵי־קֶ֔לַע
and,they_will_eat and,they_will_subdue stones_of sling
Here Zechariah is speaking of the people utterly defeating their enemies as if they would devour them. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [they will completely defeat and will subdue those who attack them]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / simile
וְשָׁת֥וּ הָמ֖וּ כְּמוֹ־יָ֑יִן
and,they_will_drink roar like wine
The point of this comparison is that just as men who have drunk wine become loud and boisterous, so the people will drink and roar in their triumph. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [they will drink and roar in triumph just as drunk men roar]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / simile
וּמָֽלְאוּ֙ כַּמִּזְרָ֔ק כְּזָוִיּ֖וֹת מִזְבֵּֽחַ
and,they_will_be_full like,bowl like_[the],corners altar
The point of this comparison is that just as the bowl and the corners of the altar were filled with sacrificial blood, so the people will be full. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [and they will be as full as the bowl and the corners of the altar are filled with sacrificial blood]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
