OET (OET-RV) He sent him and that ungodly Alcimus, whom he made the high priest; and he commanded him to take vengeance upon the children of Israel.
BrLXX Καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν καὶ Ἄλκιμον τὸν ἀσεβῆ, καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτῷ τὴν ἱερωσύνην, καὶ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ ποιῆσαι τὴν ἐκδίκησιν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ.
(Kai apesteilen auton kai Alkimon ton asebaʸ, kai estaʸsen autōi taʸn hierōsunaʸn, kai eneteilato autōi poiaʸsai taʸn ekdikaʸsin en tois huiois Israaʸl. )
