BrLXX καὶ ἐπελάβετο τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ προσέπασε τὴν χολὴν ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, λέγων, θάρσει πάτερ.
(kai epelabeto tou patros autou, kai prosepase taʸn ⱪolaʸn epi tous ofthalmous tou patros autou, legōn, tharsei pater. )

BrTr and took hold of his father: and he strake of the gall on his father's eyes, saying, Be of good hope, my father.

WEBBE and took hold of his father. He rubbed the bile on his father’s eyes, saying, “Cheer up, my father.”
