BrLXXἘροῦσιν ἑαυτοῖς μετανοοῦντες, καὶ διὰ στενοχωρίαν πνεύματος στενάζοντες,
¶ Οὗτος ἦν ὃν ἔσχομέν ποτε εἰς γέλωτα καὶ εἰς παραβολὴν ὀνειδισμοῦ.
   (Erousin heautois metanoountes, kai dia stenoⱪōrian pneumatos stenazontes,
    ¶ Houtos aʸn hon esⱪomen pote eis gelōta kai eis parabolaʸn oneidismou. )

BrTrAnd they repenting and groaning for anguish of spirit shall say within themselves,
¶ This was he, whom we had sometimes in derision, and a proverb of reproach:


WEBBEThey will speak amongst themselves repenting,
 ⇔ and for distress of spirit they will groan,
