BrLXX Ἐροῦσιν ἑαυτοῖς μετανοοῦντες, καὶ διὰ στενοχωρίαν πνεύματος στενάζοντες,
¶ Οὗτος ἦν ὃν ἔσχομέν ποτε εἰς γέλωτα καὶ εἰς παραβολὴν ὀνειδισμοῦ.
(Erousin heautois metanoountes, kai dia stenoⱪōrian pneumatos stenazontes,
¶ Houtos aʸn hon esⱪomen pote eis gelōta kai eis parabolaʸn oneidismou. )
BrTr And they repenting and groaning for anguish of spirit shall say within themselves,
¶ This was he, whom we had sometimes in derision, and a proverb of reproach:
WEBBE They will speak amongst themselves repenting,

Wycl and thei schulen seie, doynge penaunce withynne hem silf, and weilyng for the angwysch of spirit, These men it ben, whiche we hadden sum tyme in to scorn, and in to licnesse of vpbreidyng.
(and they should say, doing penance within himself, and wailing for the angwysch of spirit, These men it been, which we had some time in to scorn, and in to likeness of upbreiding.)
