BrLXXΠρῶτον μὲν ὑπὲρ τῶν ἀνηκόντων τῷ βασιλεῖ γνησίως φρονῶν, δεύτερον δὲ καὶ τῶν ἰδίων πολιτῶν στοχαζόμενος· τῇ μὲν γὰρ τῶν προειρημένων ἀλογιστίᾳ τὸ σύμπαν ἡμῶν γένος οὐ μικρῶς ἀκληρεῖ.
   (Prōton men huper tōn anaʸkontōn tōi basilei gnaʸsiōs fronōn, deuteron de kai tōn idiōn politōn stoⱪazomenos; taʸ men gar tōn proeiraʸmenōn alogistia to sumpan haʸmōn genos ou mikrōs aklaʸrei. )

BrTrfirst, verily for the unfeigned care I have of things pertaining to the king; and secondly, even for that I intend the good of mine own citizens: for all our nation is in no small misery through the unadvised dealing of them aforesaid.
