pray for us as well: There is a minor textual problem with this verse.

Some Greek manuscripts contain a Greek word that may be translated as well or “also.” These manuscripts are followed by the (BSB, GNT, NET, REB)
Most other English versions omit this word. If the word is included, the verse means: “We prayed for you, and now you should also pray for us.” (Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonians was in 5:23.) This is the option followed by the Display.

προσεύχεσθε καὶ

˓be˒_praying (Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ἀδελφοί προσεύχεσθε καί περί ἡμῶν)

Here, also indicates that the Thessalonians should be praying for Paul, Silas, and Timothy just as Paul, Silas, and Timothy pray for them (see [5:23](../05/23.md)). If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this idea more explicit. Alternate translation: [just as we pray for you, pray also]
