15.5 Et post hæc. Cum ostendissent illos angelos habere potestatem plagandi, dicturus quas plagas illi sunt illaturi, prius proponit causam qua ostendit illos dignos esse qui plagas sunt passuri, scilicet quia omnia mysteria Ecclesiæ sunt revelata omnibus volentibus intrare, quæ isti malo merito suo non possunt intelligere. Since ostendissent those angelos habere potestatem plagandi, dicturus which plagas illi are illaturi, first/before proponit causam which ostendit those dignos esse who plagas are passuri, scilicet because everything mysteria Ecclesiæ are revelata to_all volentibus intrare, which isti malo merito his_own not/no possunt intelligere. If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of testimony, you could express the same idea in another way. The phrase “the tabernacle of the testimony” is a common Old Testament description of the tent that held the ark of the covenant. John describes in 11:19 how the ark was now in the temple in heaven. Alternate translation: “the temple, that is, the tent holding the ark of the covenant”
