OETGEN 18 ©

This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

18and_he_appeared to_him/it YHWH at_the_great_trees_of Mamre and_he was_sitting the_opening_of the_tent about_the_heat_of the_day.
2And_he_lifted_up eyes_of_his and_he/it_saw and_see/lo/see three men were_standing on/upon/above_him/it and_he/it_saw and_he_ran to_meet_them from_the_opening_of the_tent and_he_bowed_down ground_to_the.
3And_he_said my_master if please I_have_found favour in_your_two’s_of_eyes do_not please pass_by from_under servant_of_your.
4Let_it_be_brought please a_little_of water and_wash feet_of_your(pl) and_support_yourselves(pl) under the_tree.
5And_let_me_bring a_piece_of bread and_sustain heart_of_your(pl) after you(pl)_will_pass_on if/because therefore yes/correct/thus/so you(pl)_have_passed_by at servant_of_your(pl) and_they_said thus you_will_do just_as you_have_said.
6And_ ʼAⱱrāhām _he_hurried to_the_tent to Sārāh and_he/it_said bring_quickly three seahs flour fine_flour knead_it and_make bread_cakes.
7And_near/to the_herd ʼAⱱrāhām he_ran and_he/it_took a_young_one_of the_herd tender and_good and_he/it_gave to the_servant and_he_hurried for_doing DOM_him/it.
8And_he/it_took curd[s] and_milk and_the_young_one_of the_herd which he_had_prepared and_he/it_gave before_them and_he was_standing with_them under the_tree and_they_ate.
9And_they_said to_him[fn] where is_Sārāh your(ms)_woman/wife and_he/it_said there in_tent.
10And_he/it_said certainly_(return) I_will_return to_you about_time living and_see/lo/see a_son will_belong_to_Sārāh your(ms)_woman/wife and_Sārāh was_listening the_opening_of the_tent and_he was_behind_him.
11And_ʼAⱱrāhām and_Sārāh were_old having_come in_the_days it_had_ceased to_be to_Sārāh a_way like_women.
12And_ Sārāh _she_laughed in_her_inner_of_being to_say after I_am_worn_out has_it_belonged to/for_me pleasure and_my_of_master he_is_old.
13And_ YHWH _he/it_said to ʼAⱱrāhām to/for_what this did_she_laugh Sārāh to_say also really will_I_bear_a_child and_I I_am_old.
14Is_it_too_difficult for_YHWH anything to_time I_will_return to_you about_time living and_will_belong_to_Sārāh a_son.
15And_ Sārāh _she_denied to_say not I_laughed if/because she_was_afraid and_he/it_said no if/because you_laughed.
16And_they_arose from_there the_men and_they_looked_down on the_face_of Şədom and_ʼAⱱrāhām was_walking with_them to_send_them_off.
17And_YHWH he_said be_concealing will_I from_ʼAⱱrāhām that_which I am_about_to_do.
18And_ʼAⱱrāhām surely_(become) he_will_become to_(a)_nation great and_mighty and_they_will_be_blessed in_him/it all_of the_nations_of the_earth/land.
19If/because I_have_known_him so_that that he_may_command DOM children_of_his and_DOM household_of_his after_him and_they_will_keep the_way_of YHWH for_doing righteousness and_justice so_that will_bring YHWH on ʼAⱱrāhām DOM that_which he_has_spoken on/upon/above_him/it.
20And_ YHWH _he/it_said the_outcry_of Şədom and_Amorah if/because it_is_great and_their_of_sin if/because it_is_heavy exceedingly.
21I_will_go_down please and_I_will_see according_to_its_of_outcry which_it_has_come to_me have_they_done completely and_if not I_will_know.
22And_they_turned_away from_there the_men and_they_went towards_Sedom and_ʼAⱱrāhām still_he was_standing to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before YHWH.
23And_ ʼAⱱrāhām _he_drew_near and_he_said also will_you_sweep_away the_righteous with the_wicked.
24Perhaps there_are fifty righteous_people in_the_middle the_city also will_you_sweep_it_away and_not will_you_forgive (to)_place for_the_sake_of fifty the_righteous_people who are_in_its_of_midst.
25Far_be_it to_you from_doing according_the_manner the_this to_put_to_death the_righteous with the_wicked and_it_was as_person as_person far_be_it to_you the_judge_of all_of the_earth/land not will_he_do justice.
26And_ YHWH _he/it_said if I_will_find in_Şədom fifty righteous_people in_the_middle the_city and_I_will_forgive to/from_all/each/any/every the_place because_of_them.
27And_ ʼAⱱrāhām _he_answered and_he_said here please I_have_undertaken to_speak to my_master and_I am_dust and_ash[es].
28Perhaps they_will_lack fifty the_righteous_people five will_you_destroy for_five DOM all_of the_city and_he/it_said not I_will_destroy_it if I_will_find there forty and_five.
29And_he_repeated again to_speak to_him/it and_he_said perhaps they_will_be_found there forty and_he/it_said not I_will_do_it in_account_of the_forty.
30And_he/it_said not please let_it_burn to_the_of_master and_let_me_speak perhaps they_will_be_found there thirty and_he/it_said not I_will_do_it if I_will_find there thirty.
31And_he/it_said here please I_have_undertaken to_speak to my_master perhaps they_will_be_found there twenty and_he/it_said not I_will_destroy_it in_account_of the_twenty.
32And_he/it_said not please let_it_burn to_the_of_master and_let_me_speak only the_time//this_time perhaps they_will_be_found there ten and_he/it_said not I_will_destroy_it in_account_of the_ten.
33And_ YHWH _he/it_went just_as he_had_finished to_speak to ʼAⱱrāhām and_ʼAⱱrāhām he_returned to_his_of_place.
