OET (OET-RV) When the Jews who were compelled to follow him said, “Don’t destroy so savagely and barbarously, but give due glory to the day which he who sees all things has honoured and hallowed above other days.”
BrLXX Τῶν δὲ κατʼ ἀνάγκην συνεπομένων αὐτῷ Ἰουδαίων, λεγόντων, μηδαμῶς οὕτως ἀγρίως καὶ βαρβάρως ἀπολέσῃς, δόξαν δὲ ἀπομέρισον τῇ προτετιμημένῃ ὑπὸ τοῦ πάντα ἐθορῶντος μεθʼ ἁγιότητος ἡμέρᾳ.
(Tōn de katʼ anagkaʸn sunepomenōn autōi Youdaiōn, legontōn, maʸdamōs houtōs agriōs kai barbarōs apolesaʸs, doxan de apomerison taʸ protetimaʸmenaʸ hupo tou panta ethorōntos methʼ hagiotaʸtos haʸmera. )
BrTr Nevertheless the Jews that were compelled to go with him said, O destroy not so cruelly and barbarously, but give honour to that day, which he, that seeth all things, hath honoured with holiness above other days.
