OET (OET-RV) He exhorted his company not to be fearful at the assault of the heathen, but keeping in mind the help which in former times they had often received from heaven, so now also to look for the victory which would come to them from the Almighty,
BrLXX Καὶ παρεκάλει τοὺς σὺν αὐτῷ μὴ δειλιᾷν τὴν τῶν ἔθνῶν ἔφοδον, ἔχοντας δὲ κατὰ νοῦν τὰ προγεγονότα αὐτοῖς ἁπʼ οὐρανοῦ βοηθήματα, καὶ τανῦν προσδοκᾷν τὴν παρὰ τοῦ παντοκράτορος ἐσομένην αὐτοῖς νίκην καὶ βοήθειαν.
(Kai parekalei tous sun autōi maʸ deilian taʸn tōn ethnōn efodon, eⱪontas de kata noun ta progegonota autois hapʼ ouranou boaʸthaʸmata, kai tanun prosdokan taʸn para tou pantokratoros esomenaʸn autois nikaʸn kai boaʸtheian. )
BrTr wherefore he exhorted his people not to fear the coming of the heathen against them, but to remember the help which in former times they had received from heaven, and now to expect the victory and aid, which should come unto them from the Almighty.
