BrLXX Ἀνθʼ ὧν πυριφλεγῆ στύλον, ὁδηγὸν μὲν ἀγνώστου ὁδοιπορίας, ἥλιον δὲ ἀβλαβῆ φιλοτίμου ξενιτείας παρέσχες.
(Anthʼ hōn puriflegaʸ stulon, hodaʸgon men agnōstou hodoiporias, haʸlion de ablabaʸ filotimou xeniteias paresⱪes. )
BrTr Instead whereof thou gavest them a burning pillar of fire, both to be a guide of the unknown journey, and a harmless sun to entertain them honourably.
WEBBE Therefore you provided a burning pillar of fire,
