Then the Philistine people who survive will worship me and become my people, like one of the clans in Judah. 9:7 The Philistines did not follow the Jewish regulations regarding slaughtering animals, particularly in draining the blood from the flesh. Consequently their eating of meat still containing blood made them unclean.

Yahweh is using the possessive form to describe the blood that is in the Philistines’ mouth. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [the blood that is in his mouth]
