The writer is speaking of God imposing bitter suffering on him as if God had literally filled him with bitter herbs and saturated him with wormwood. Your language may have comparable expressions that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [He has filled my life with bitter and overwhelming experiences]

These two phrases mean basically the same thing. The second emphasizes the meaning of the first by repeating the same idea with different words. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could combine them and express the emphasis in another way. Alternate translation: [He has completely filled me with bitter suffering]

wormwood

Here, wormwood refers to a plant that tastes very bitter. If your readers would not be familiar with this plant, you could use the name of a bitter-tasting plant in your area, or you could use a more general term. Alternate translation: [with a bitter-tasting plant]
