17  And having _ travelled_ throughthe Amfipolis and the Apollōnia , they _ cameto Thessalonikaʸ , where was a _ synagogueof _ theYoudaiōns .
2  And according _ tothe way having _ been_ accustomedthe with _ Pauloshe _ came_ into them , and for Three days _ of_ resthe _ discussedwith _ themfrom the scriptures ,3  opening _ upand setting _ beforethat it _ was_ fittingthe chosen _ one/messiah to _ sufferand to _ rise_ upfrom the _ deadand saying that This Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) whom I am _ proclaimingto _ you_ allis .
chosen _ one/messiah 4  And some of them were _ persuadedand they _ were_ joinedthe with _ Paulosand the Silas , both a _ great _ multitudeof _ theHellaʸns worshipping , and leading a _ fewwomen the not .
5  But the Youdaiōns , having _ been_ jealousand having _ taken_ asidesome evil men of _ themarketplaces , and having _ formed_ a_ mobthey _ were_ distressingthe city , and having _ approachedto _ thehouse of _ Yasōnthey _ were_ seekingthem to _ bring_ forthto the public .
6  And not having _ foundthem , they _ were_ draggingYasōn and some brothers before the city _ councilshouting , that The having _ upsetthe inhabited _ worldthese are _ cominghere also ,7  whom Yasōn has _ welcomedand these all are _ doingin _ front_ ofthe decrees of _ Kaisarsaying Yaʸsous another king to _ be8  And they _ disturbedthe crowd and the city _ councilhearing these .
9  And having _ takenthe much from the Yasōn and the rest , they _ sent_ them _ away10  And the brothers immediately sent _ outthe both Paulos and the Silas by night to Beroia , who having _ arrivedwere _ goinginto the synagogue of _ theYoudaiōns .
11  And these were more _ noblethan the in Thessalonikaʸ , who received the message with all readiness , in _ everyday examining the scriptures , if these might _ be_ havingthus .
12  therefore indeed Many from them believed , and not a _ fewof _ thethe prominent Hellaʸn women , and men .
13  But when the Youdaiōns from the Thessalonikaʸ knew that also the message of _ the _ god was _ proclaimedby the Paulos in , the Beroia , they _ camealso _ thereagitating and disturbing the crowds .
14  And then the brothers immediately the Paulos sent _ awayto _ be_ goingas _ far_ asto the sea , and the both Silas and the Timotheos remained there .
15  And the appointing the Paulos , brought him to Athaʸnai , and having _ receiveda _ commandfor the Silas and the Timotheos , that as they _ may_ comemost _ quicklyto him , they _ were_ departing16  And the Paulos in the Athaʸnai , of _ awaitingthem , the spirit of _ himwas _ being_ provokedin him , of _ observingthe city being idolatrous .
17  Therefore he _ was_ discussingon _ one_ handin the synagogue with _ theYoudaiōns , and the worshipping , and in the marketplace on every day with the happening _ to_ be18  On _ the_ other_ handsome also of _ theEpikoureios and Stōikos philosophers were _ conferringwith _ himand some were _ sayingWhat wishfully might _ this - _ be_ wantingbabbler to _ be_ sayingBut the others He _ is_ supposingto _ bea _ proclaimerof _ strangedemons , because he _ was_ good_ message_ preachingthe Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) and the resurrection .
19  and having _ taken_ holdof _ himthey _ broughthim to the Areios Hill saying :
Are _ we_ being_ ableto _ knowwhat is the this new , teaching is which being _ spokenby you ?
20  For/Because you _ are_ carrying_ insome _ surprising _ messages to the ears of _ usTherefore we _ are_ wishingto _ knowwhat _ allis _ wantingthese to _ be21  (And all the _ _ from_ Athaʸnaiand the visiting strangers were _ having_ opportunityin not _ oneother , than to _ be_ tellingsomething or to _ be_ hearingsome newer .
22  And Paulos having _ been_ stoodin the _ midstof _ theAreios Hill was _ sayingMen , _ from_ AthaʸnaiI _ am_ perceivingin all how more _ superstitiousyou _ all23  For/Because passing _ throughand observing the objects _ of_ worshipof _ you_ allI _ even _ foundan _ altaron which had _ been_ inscribedTo _ an _ unknowngod Therefore you _ all_ are_ being_ devoutnot _ knowingwhich , this I am _ proclaimingto _ you_ all24  The god which having _ madethe earth and all the in it , this being master of _ heavenand earth , is _ dwellingneither in handmade temples ,25  nor is _ being_ healedby human hands , additionally _ needingof _ anythinghe giving life , and breath , and the _ all _ to _ all26  and he _ madeof one , every nation of _ mankindto _ be_ dwellingon all the _ faceof _ theearth , having _ designatedthe having _ been_ commandedtimes and the boundaries of _ thedwelling _ placeof _ them27  to _ be_ seekingthe god if perhaps surely they _ might_ gropefor _ himand might _ findhim also surely being not far from one each of _ us28  For/Because we _ are_ livingin him and are _ being_ movedand are , as also some of _ theamong you _ allof _ the _ poetshave _ saidFor/Because we _ arealso of _ thedescent .
29  Therefore being descent of _ the _ god we _ oughtnot to _ be_ thinkingabout _ goldor silver or a _ stonemark of _ the _ craftand thoughts of _ human_ originto _ besimilar the divine .
30  Therefore indeed the god the times of _ the _ ignorancehaving _ overlookednow he _ is_ reportingthe to _ all _ thepeople everywhere to _ be_ repenting31  as _ much_ ashe _ seta _ dayin which he _ is_ goingto _ be_ judgingthe inhabited _ worldin righteousness , by a _ manto _ whomhe _ designatedhaving _ brought_ aboutfaith to _ allhaving _ raised_ him _ upfrom the _ dead32  And having _ heardabout a _ resurrectionof _ the _ deadon _ one_ handthey were _ mockingon _ the_ other_ handthey said :
We _ will_ be_ hearingfrom _ youconcerning this also again .
33  Thus the Paulos came _ outfrom the _ midstof _ them34  But some men having _ been_ joined_ togetherto _ himbelieved among whom both Dionusios the Areopagitaʸs , and a _ womanby _ the _ nameDamaris , and others with them .
