17 And having _travelled _through the Amfipolis and the Apollōnia, they _came to Thessalonikaʸ, where was a_synagogue of _the Youdaiōns.
2 And according _to the way having _been _accustomed the with _Paulos, he _came _in to them, and for Three days _of _rest, he _discussed with _them from the scriptures, 3 opening _up and setting _before that it _was _fitting the chosen _one /messiah to _suffer, and to _rise _up from the_dead, and saying that This Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa), whom I am _proclaiming to _you _all is.

4 And some of them were _persuaded and they _were _joined the with _Paulos and the Silas, both a_ great _multitude of _the ones Hellaʸns worshipping, and leading a_few women the not.
5 But the Youdaiōns, having _been _jealous and having _taken _aside some evil men of _the marketplaces, and having _formed _a _mob, they _were _distressing the city, and having _approached to _the house of _Yasōn, they _were _seeking them to _bring _forth to the public.
6 And not having _found them, they _were _dragging Yasōn and some brothers before the city _council shouting, that The ones having _upset the inhabited _world, these are _coming here also, 7 whom Yasōn has _welcomed, and these all are _doing in _front _of the decrees of _Kaisar, saying Yaʸsous another king to _be.
8 And they _disturbed the crowd and the city _council hearing these things.
9 And having _taken the much from the Yasōn and the rest, they _sent_ them _away.
10 And the brothers immediately sent _out the both Paulos and the Silas by night to Beroia, who having _arrived, were _going into the synagogue of _the Youdaiōns.
11 And these were more _noble than the ones in Thessalonikaʸ, who received the message with all readiness, in _every day examining the scriptures, if these things might _be _having thus.
12 therefore indeed Many from them believed, and not a_few of _the the prominent Hellaʸn women, and men.
13 But when the Youdaiōns from the Thessalonikaʸ knew that also the message of_ the _god was _proclaimed by the Paulos in, the Beroia, they _came also _there, agitating and disturbing the crowds.
14 And then the brothers immediately the Paulos sent _away, to _be _going as _far _as to the sea, and the both Silas and the Timotheos remained there.
15 And the ones appointing the Paulos, brought him to Athaʸnai, and having _received a_command for the Silas and the Timotheos, that as they _may _come most _quickly to him, they _were _departing.
16 And the Paulos in the Athaʸnai, of _awaiting them, the spirit of _him was _being _provoked in him, of _observing the city being idolatrous.
17 Therefore he _was _discussing on _one _hand in the synagogue with _the Youdaiōns, and the ones worshipping, and in the marketplace on every day with the ones happening _to _be.
18 On _the _other _hand some also of _the Epikoureios and Stōikos philosophers were _conferring with _him, and some were _saying:
What wishfully might_ this - _be _wanting babbler to _be _saying?
But the others:
He _is _supposing to _be a_proclaimer of _strange demons, because he _was _good _message _preaching the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) and the resurrection.
19 and having _taken _hold of _him, they _brought him to the Areios Hill saying:
Are _we _being _able to _know what is the this new, teaching is which being _spoken by you?
20 For/Because you _are _carrying _in some_ surprising _messages to the ears of _us.
Therefore we _are _wishing to _know what _all is _wanting these things to _be.
21 (And all the_ones_from _Athaʸnai and the visiting strangers were _having _opportunity in not _one other thing, than to _be _telling something or to _be _hearing some newer thing.
) 22 And Paulos having _been _stood in the_midst of _the Areios Hill was _saying:
Men, ones_from _Athaʸnai, I _am _perceiving in all things how more _superstitious you _all.
23 For/Because passing _through and observing the objects _of _worship of _you _all, I_ even _found an_altar on which had _been _inscribed:
To_an_unknown god.
Therefore you _all _are _being _devout not _knowing which, this thing I am _proclaiming to _you _all.
24 The god which having _made the earth and all the things in it, this one being master of _heaven and earth, is _dwelling neither in handmade temples, 25 nor is _being _healed by human hands, additionally _needing of _anything, he giving life, and breath, and the_ all _things to _all, 26 and he _made of one, every nation of _mankind to _be _dwelling on all the_face of _the earth, having _designated the having _been _commanded times and the boundaries of _the dwelling _place of _them, 27 to _be _seeking the god, if perhaps surely they _might _grope for _him and might _find him, also surely being not far from one each of _us.
28 For/Because we _are _living in him and are _being _moved and are, as also some of _the among you _all of_the_poets have _said:
For/Because we _are also of _the one descent.
29 Therefore being descent of_ the _god, we _ought not to _be _thinking about _gold or silver or a_stone mark of_the_craft and thoughts of _human _origin, to _be similar the divine.
30 Therefore indeed the god the times of_ the _ignorance having _overlooked, now he _is _reporting the things to_ all _the people everywhere to _be _repenting, 31 as _much _as he _set a_day in which he _is _going to _be _judging the inhabited _world in righteousness, by a_man to _whom he _designated, having _brought _about faith to _all, having _raised_ him _up from the_dead.
32 And having _heard about a_resurrection of_the_dead, on _one _hand they were _mocking, on _the _other _hand they said:
We _will _be _hearing from _you concerning this also again.
33 Thus the Paulos came _out from the_midst of _them.
34 But some men having _been _joined _together to _him, believed among whom both Dionusios the Areopagitaʸs, and a_woman by_the_name Damaris, and others with them.
