19 And it _became at the time, the Apollōs to _be in Korinthos, Paulos having _passed _through the upper parts, to _come _down to Efesos and to _find some apprentices/followers, 2 and said to them:
- having _believed you _all _received the_ holy _spirit?
And they said to him:
But we_ not _even _heard whether there _is holy spirit.
3 and, He _said Therefore into what were _you _all _immersed?
And they said:
Into the immersion of _Yōannaʸs.
4 And Paulos said:
Yōannaʸs immersed with_a_immersion of _repentance, saying to _the people that they _may _believe in the one coming after him this is in the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa).
5 And having _heard, they _were _immersed in the name of _the master Yaʸsous.
6 And of_ the _Paulos having _laying _on on _them ^his_hands, the the holy spirit came on them, and they _were _speaking with _tongues and were _prophesying.
7 And the all were men about twelve.
8 And having _come _in into the synagogue, he _was _speaking _boldly for three months, discussing and persuading concerning the kingdom of_ the _god.
9 But when some were _being _hardened and were _disbelieving, speaking _evil of the way before the multitude, having _withdrew from them he _set _apart the apprentices/followers, in _every day discussing in the school of _Turannos.
10 And this became for two years, so _that all the ones dwelling _in the Asia to _hear the message of _the master, both Youdaiōns and Hellaʸns.
11 And the god was _doing not which having _been _ordinary miracles, by the hands of _Paulos, 12 so _that even to the ones ailing handkerchiefs or aprons to _be _being _carried _away from the skin of _him, and the diseases to _be _being _released from them, and the the evil spirits to _be _going _out.
13 But some also the ones Youdaiōns exorcists going _around attempted to _be _naming over the ones having the the evil spirits in _the name of _the master Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) saying:
I _am _imploring you _all, the by_Yaʸsous, whom Paulos is _proclaiming.
14 and seven sons of _one of _Skeuas Youdaiōns chief _priest Were doing this.
15 But the the evil spirit answering said to _them:
- Yaʸsous I _am _knowing, and the Paulos I _am _recognizing, but who _all are you _all?
16 And the man in whom was the the evil spirit having _leapt _on, on, them, having _exercised _mastership over _both, it _prevailed against against _them, so _that to _escape out _of the that house naked and having _been _wounded.
17 And this became known to _all, both to _Youdaiōns and Hellaʸns, the ones dwelling _in the Efesos, and fear fell _on on all them, and the name of _the master Yaʸsous was _being _magnified.
18 And many of _the ones having _believed, were _coming confessing and declaring the practices of _them.
19 And many of _the ones having _practiced the magical, having _brought _together their scrolls, they _were _burning _up them before all.
And they _counted _up the prices of _them, and they _found five ten _thousand of _silver.
20 Thus the message of _the master was _growing with power and was _prevailing.
21 And when was _fulfilled these things, purposed the Paulos in the spirit, having _passed _through the Makedonia and Aⱪaia, to _be _going to Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim) having _said, that After the time to _become me there, it _is _fitting me also Ɽōmaʸ to _see.
22 And having _sent _out into the Makedonia, two of _the ones serving unto _him, Timotheos and Erastos, he held _on a_time in the Asia.
23 And concerning the that time, a_ not little _disturbance became concerning the way.
24 For/Because a_certain silversmith by_the_name Daʸmaʸtrios, making temples silver of _Artemis, was _bringing _about no little business to _the craftsmen, 25 whom having _convened _together also the workers about the such things, he _said:
Men, you _all _are _knowing that the prosperity to _us is from this the business.
26 And you _all _are _observing and are _hearing that not only Efesos, but almost of _all the Asia, the this Paulos having _persuaded, redirected much crowd, saying that the ones by ^our_hands becoming they _are not gods.
27 But this is_ not only _risking _danger to _us, the trade to _come into disrepute, but also the temple of _the great goddess of _Artemis, to _be _counted for nothing, but of _the greatness of _her to _be _going also to _be _being _taken _down, whom all the Asia and the inhabited _world is _worshipping.
28 And having _heard, and having _become full of _rage, they _were _crying _out saying:
Great is the Artemis of_the_ones_from _Efesos.
29 And the city was _filled of_ the _confusion, and they _rushed with _one _accord to the theatre, having _seized ones_from _Makedonia Gaios and Aristarⱪos, travelling _companions of _Paulos.
30 But Paulos wishing to _come _in to the public, the apprentices/followers were_ not _allowing him.
31 And some also of _the Asian _rulers, being friends to _him, having _sent to him, they _were _imploring him not to _give himself into the theatre.
32 Therefore indeed others a_certain other thing were _crying _out, because/for the assembly was having _been _confounded, and the more had_ not _known for _what on _account they _had _come _together.
33 And out _of the crowd they _concluded Alexandros, of _the Youdaiōns having _put_ him _forward.
And the Alexandros having _gestured his hand, was _wanting to _be _defending to _the public.
34 But having _recognized that he _is a_Youdaios, cry there _became one from all, over about two hours crying _out:
Great the Artemis of_the_ones_from _Efesos.
35 And the clerk having _calmed the crowd is _saying:
Men, ones_from _Efesos, because/for who is of_the_people, who is_ not _knowing the city of_the_ones_from _Efesos being temple _keeper of _the great Artemis and of _the fallen _from _Zeus image?
36 Therefore these things being unquestionable, it _is fitting you _all to _be _being having _been _calmed, and to _be _doing nothing reckless.
37 For/Because you _all _brought the these men, neither temple-robbers nor slandering the goddess of _us.
38 If therefore on _one _hand Daʸmaʸtrios and the craftsmen with him are _having a_matter against anyone, courts are _being _brought and there _are proconsuls, let _them _be _indicting against _one _another.
39 On _the _other _hand if you _all _are _seeking _after anything concerning others, it _will _be _being _settled in the lawful assembly.
40 For/Because we_ also _are _risking _danger to _be _being _indicted of _insurrection concerning the day today, nothing being cause, concerning which we will_ not _be _able to _give _back a_account concerning the this disorderly _gathering.
And having _said these things, he _sent _away the assembly.
