The author is speaking of the Israelite soldiers who were hiding in ambush as if they had been water that gushed out. If it would be clearer in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “And the ambush of Israel rushed out of its place” or “And the Israelite soldiers rushed out from where they had been hiding”
