Here, in the heat of hostility is an expression comparing strong feelings of hostility to the intensity of a fire. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [amid strong hostility] or [in the midst of fierce opposition]

The intensive pronoun myself represents the pronoun “I” that God uses in the original even though the verb translated as discipline already includes this meaning. Doing this adds emphasis to what he is saying. If your language uses explicit pronouns for emphasis, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of bringing out this emphasis. Alternate translation: [and I will personally discipline you seven times]
