See how you translated this repetition in [26:16](../26/16.md). Alternate translation: [I, too, walked]

See how you translated this in [26:24](../26/24.md). Alternate translation: [I walked with hostility toward them]

יִכָּנַ֗ע לְבָבָם֙ הֶֽעָרֵ֔ל
(Some words not found in UHB: also/though I continued with,them in,contrariness and,I_will_bring DOM=them in=land their_enemies_of,their if then humbled heart_of,their (the),uncircumcised and,then make_amends DOM iniquity_of,their )
The expression their uncircumcised heart is humbled is a passive verbal form. If your language would not use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [they humble their uncircumcised hearts]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
לְבָבָם֙ הֶֽעָרֵ֔ל
heart_of,their (the),uncircumcised
Here, heart represents where a person’s emotions, feelings, and desires exist, and the uncircumcised heart represents people who are unwilling to obey God. Since physical circumcision was a sign of being in covenant with God, an uncircumcised heart represents resistance to God’s covenant. You may have a comparable expression in your language, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [their stubborn inner nature] or [their rebellious attitude]
יִרְצ֥וּ אֶת־עֲוֺנָֽם
make_amends DOM iniquity_of,their
This could mean either: (1) they accept the punishment that their wrongdoing deserves, or (2) they acknowledge and admit their guilt. If you can translate this in a way that can capture both meanings do that, otherwise you could follow how your local major language translations understand this phrase. Alternate translation: [they accept their punishment] or [they admit their guilt]
OET (OET-LV) Also I I_will_walk with_them in_contrariness and_I_will_bring DOM_them in_land their_enemies_of_their or then heart_of_their it_will_humble_itself (the)_uncircumcised and_then they_will_accept DOM iniquity_of_their.
OET (OET-RV) (and that I became hostile toward them and took their into their enemies’ countries,) and humble their undisciplined hearts and admit their disobedience,
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
