15:14-15 Both Samson and the Judeans seem to have been satisfied with this relatively small victory and did not follow up by overthrowing Philistine oppression. This failure reflects Israel’s declining confidence in God’s promises.

See how you translated the same expression in 14:6.

The point of this comparison is that just as flax breaks easily when people burn it with fire, so the ropes on Samson’s arms broke easily. That was because the Spirit of Yahweh made him very strong. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: “and he became so strong that he was able to break the ropes that were on his arms as easily as flax breaks when people burn it”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּעֲר֣וּ בָאֵ֔שׁ
(Some words not found in UHB: he/it came until Leḩī and,Philistines shouting to,meet,him and,rushed on/upon/above=him/it spirit YHWH and,became the,ropes which/who on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in arms,his like_the,flax which/who caught in/on/at/with,fire and,melted bonds,his from=under hands,his )
It might seem that the expression with fire contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in your language. If so, you can shorten it. Alternate translation: “that they burn”
Note 4 topic: writing-pronouns
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּעֲר֣וּ
(Some words not found in UHB: he/it came until Leḩī and,Philistines shouting to,meet,him and,rushed on/upon/above=him/it spirit YHWH and,became the,ropes which/who on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in arms,his like_the,flax which/who caught in/on/at/with,fire and,melted bonds,his from=under hands,his )
Here, they is an indefinite pronoun that does not have a specific referent in the context. If it would be more natural in your language, you could translate this with an expression that does not use an indefinite pronoun. Alternate translation: “that people burn”
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
וַיִּמַּ֥סּוּ אֱסוּרָ֖יו מֵעַ֥ל יָדָֽיו
(Some words not found in UHB: he/it came until Leḩī and,Philistines shouting to,meet,him and,rushed on/upon/above=him/it spirit YHWH and,became the,ropes which/who on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in arms,his like_the,flax which/who caught in/on/at/with,fire and,melted bonds,his from=under hands,his )
The author is speaking as if these bonds literally melted. If it would be clearer in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “and he was able to break the rope that bound his hands so easily that it seemed to melt away”
