14 And it _ became at the time him to _ come into a _ house of _ one of _ the rulers Farisaios _ party , on _ a _ day_ of_ rest to _ eat bread , and they were watching _ him _ closely .
2 And see , a _ certain _ man was dropsical before him .
3 And the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) answering spoke to the lawyers and to _ the _ Farisaios_ party saying :
Is _ it_ permitting on _ the day _ of_ rest to _ heal or not ?
4 But they kept _ quiet .
And having _ taken_ hold of _ him , he _ healed him and sent _ away him .
5 And he _ said to them :
Of _ which of _ you_ all a _ son or an _ ox into a _ pit will _ be_ falling , and not immediately he _ will_ be_ pulling_ him _ up on the _ day of _ the day _ of_ rest ?
6 And they _ were_ not _ able to _ be_ answered_ back to these .
7 And he _ was_ speaking a _ parable to the having _ been_ invited , noticing how they _ were_ choosing the best _ places , saying to them , 8 Whenever you _ may_ be_ called by anyone to wedding _ festivities , you _ may_ not _ be_ reclining in the best _ place , lest more _ honoured than you may _ be having _ been_ called by him , 9 and having _ come , the having _ invited you and him he _ will_ be_ saying to _ you :
Give to _ this ^your _ place , and then you _ may_ begin to _ be_ keeping the last place with shame .
10 But whenever you _ may_ be_ called , having _ been_ gone sit _ down in the last place , in _ order_ that whenever the having _ invited you may _ come he _ will_ be_ saying to _ you :
Friend , move _ up higher .
Then glory will _ be to _ you before all the reclining with _ you .
11 Because everyone the exalting himself will _ be_ being_ humbled , and the humbling himself will _ be_ being_ exalted .
12 And he _ was_ also _ saying to _ the having _ invited him :
Whenever you _ may_ be_ making a _ dinner or a _ supper , be _ not _ calling the friends of _ you , nor the brothers of _ you , nor the relatives of _ you , nor your _ rich _ neighbors , lest also they may _ invite_ back you and a _ repayment may _ become to _ you .
13 But whenever you _ may_ be_ making a _ banquet be _ calling the _ poor , the _ crippled , the _ lame , the _ blind , 14 and you _ will_ be blessed , because they _ are_ not _ having to _ repay to _ you , because/for will _ be_ being_ repaid to _ you in the resurrection of _ the righteous .
15 And one of _ the reclining having _ heard these , said to _ him :
Blessed is _ he who will _ be_ eating bread in the kingdom of _ the _ god .
16 But he said to _ him :
A _ man certain was _ making a _ great _ supper , and invited many .
17 And he _ sent_ out the slave of _ him at _ the hour of _ the supper to _ say to _ the having _ been_ invited :
Be _ coming , because it _ is now ready .
18 And all began of one to _ be_ excusing themselves .
The first said to _ him :
I _ bought a _ field and I _ am_ having necessity having _ come_ out to _ see it , I _ am_ asking you be _ holding me having _ been_ excused .
19 And another said :
I _ bought five pairs of _ oxen and I _ am_ going to _ approve them , I _ am_ asking you be _ holding me having _ been_ excused .
20 And another said , I _ married a _ wife and because _ of this I _ am_ not _ being_ able to _ come .
21 And having _ arrived , the slave reported these to _ the master of _ him .
Then having _ been_ angered , the the _ home_ owner said to _ the slave of _ him :
Come _ out quickly into the roads and streets of _ the city , and bring _ in here the poor , and crippled , and blind , and lame .
22 And the slave said :
Master , it _ has_ become what you _ commanded , and still there _ is place .
23 And the master said to the slave :
Come _ out into the roads and fences , and compel them to _ come_ in , in _ order_ that the house of _ me may _ be_ filled , 24 for/because I _ am_ saying to _ you_ all that no _ one of _ the those _ men which having _ been_ invited , will _ be_ tasting of _ the supper of _ me .
25 And great crowds were _ going_ with to _ him , and having _ been_ turned , he _ said to them , 26 If anyone is _ coming to me , and is _ not _ hating the father of _ himself , and the mother , and the wife , and the children , and the brothers , and the sisters , and still also the life of _ himself , is _ not _ able to _ be a _ apprentice/follower of _ me .
27 Whoever not is _ bearing the stake of _ him and is _ coming after me , is _ not _ able to _ be a _ apprentice/follower of _ me .
28 For/Because which of you _ all wanting to _ build a _ tower , not first having _ sat_ down , is _ counting the cost , whether he _ is_ having enough for the _ completion ?
29 In _ order_ that lest having _ laid a _ foundation of _ it and not being _ able to _ finish it , all which observing it may _ begin to _ be_ mocking at _ him 30 saying , that This the man began to _ be_ building , and was _ not _ able to _ finish it .
31 Or what king going to _ encounter with _ another king in war , not having _ sat_ down first will _ be_ counselling whether he _ is powerful with ten thousands to _ meet with _ the with twenty thousands coming against him ?
32 And if not surely still of _ him being far _ away , having _ sent_ out a _ delegation is _ asking peace .
33 Therefore thus everyone of you _ all who is _ not _ bidding_ goodbye to _ all the possessing of _ himself , is _ not _ able to _ be a _ apprentice/follower of _ me .
34 Therefore the salt is good , but if the salt may _ be_ made_ tasteless , with what it _ will_ be_ being_ seasoned ?
35 It _ is neither suitable for soil nor for manure , they _ are_ throwing it out .
The having ears to _ be_ hearing , let _ him_ be_ hearing .
