128:0 Prosperity for those who honour Yahweh

A song for walking uphill to Yerushalem.

128 Blessed is everyone who honours Yahweh—

who strives to follow what he showed us.

2 When you eat the product of your own hard work,

you will be blessed and prosper.

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your house.

Your children will be like olive trees as they sit around your table.

4 Yes, indeed, the man who honours Yahweh will be blessed.

5 May Yahweh bless you from Tsiyyon (Zion)—

may you see Yerushalem’s prosperity throughout your whole life.

6 May you live to see your children’s children.

May peace be on Yisra’el.
