uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / possession

זֹ֠את תּוֹרַ֨ת נֶֽגַע־ צָרַ֜עַת

this(f) law_of contamination_of mildew_of

This expression uses the possessive form to describe the law that is characterized by its referring to the infection of disease that might occur in a variety of textiles and materials. If your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could use a generic expression. Alternate translation: [This is the law that has to do with the infection of disease] or [This is the law that pertains to the infection of disease]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / possession

contamination_of mildew_of garment_of of_(the),wool or of_(the),linen(s) either the,warp or the,woof or all/each/any/every article_of skin/leather

This expression uses a prolonged possessive form to describe an infection that is actually the symptom of an infectious disease that can occur on a variety of textiles and household materials. If your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could use a generic expression. Alternate translation: [an infection that is the symptom of an infectious disease that might occur on clothing of wool or linen or on the warp or woof or on any article of leather]

Note 3 topic: translate-unknown

א֤וֹ הַשְּׁתִי֙ א֣וֹ הָעֵ֔רֶב

either the,warp or the,woof

See how you translated these words in [13:48](../13/48.md).

Note 4 topic: grammar-connect-logic-goal

לְטַהֲר֖וֹ א֥וֹ לְטַמְּאֽוֹ

to,declare,it_pure or to,declare,it_unclean

Here, to marks pronouncing the item to be clean or unclean as the goal or purpose of the instruction. Use a connector in your language that makes it clear that this is the purpose.

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

13:47-59 The rainy season in Israel, when the weather is humid and cool, extends from mid-October through March. Mildew flourishes during this time, and the spores can trigger serious allergic reactions, posing a health problem. The regulations for mildew in clothing were similar to those for infections in people. If the mildew showed signs of spreading, it was serious. If it could be stopped or washed or cut out, a garment could be saved. This process was also similar to the treatment of rot and mold in buildings (14:33-53).
