Here and throughout the next few verses, the words he and his refer to any priest in Israel. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [No priest shall take … nor shall he take … for that priest is holy to his God]

The phrase He shall not take is a polite way of referring to sexual relations with a woman, but it is also a common expression that means “to marry.” If this phrase does not have this meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [He shall not marry … nor shall he marry] or [He shall not have sexual relations with … nor shall he have sexual relations with]
