Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis

וְ⁠רָאשֵׁ֣י הַ֠⁠לְוִיִּם & לְ⁠הַלֵּ֣ל לְ⁠הוֹד֔וֹת

and,the_leaders_of of,the_Levites & to,praise to,give_thanks

Here the book leaves out some of the words that a sentence would ordinarily need in order to be complete. This sentence seems to mean “The Levite leaders who directed the choir that sang songs of praise and thanksgiving were … ” You could say something like that as an alternate translation if it would be helpful to your readers.

Head here is a figurative way of saying “leader.” Alternate translation: [the leaders of the Levites] or [the Levite leaders]

Ḩₐshaⱱ\sup_yāh Shērēⱱə\sup_yāh

These are the names of two men.

Jeshua is the name of a man, and Kadmiel is the name of his father.

(2) It could mean that other Levite leaders took turns with these three men in assuming the responsibilities of directing a single Levite choir. Alternate translation: [their fellow Levite leaders directed a second choir that sang responses] or [their fellow Levite leaders took turns with them directing the choir]

and,their_of,brothers

Brothers here means their fellow Levite leaders.

לְ⁠הַלֵּ֣ל לְ⁠הוֹד֔וֹת
