Abijah asks this rhetorical question to rebuke the people and to emphasize the positive answer that it anticipates. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express this question as a statement. Alternate translation: “But you drive out … as the people of other lands do.”

Alternate translation: “Anyone who comes to serve as a priest”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
(Occurrence 0) a priest of what are not gods
(Some words not found in UHB: ?,not driven_out DOM priests_of YHWH DOM sons_of ʼAhₐron and,the,Levites and,made to/for=you_all priests like,peoples_of the,lands all/each/any/every the,comes to,consecrate his/its=hand in/on/at/with,young_bull son_of cattle and,rams seven and=it_was priest of,not ʼElohīm )
The phrase “what are not gods” refers to the golden calves that Jeroboam had his craftsmen make. Although the priests served them as if they were gods, they were not really gods. Alternate translation: “a priest of idols that are not really gods”
13:8-9 Abijah’s speech made two key points about the rebellion of the north: The north rejected the only legitimate king, and they rejected the only legitimate place of worship. The revolt of the northerners, who chased away the proper priestly order, is sharply contrasted with “us” (13:10). Most objectionable was the worship of the calves and the role of the unauthorized priests.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
