31:1 OSHB note: We read punctuation in L differently from BHS.
OET (OET-RV) When that was all over, all those Israelis went out to Yehudah’s cities and shattered the pillars and cut down the Asherah poles, and they tore down the hilltop shrines and altars from the entire Yehudah-Benyamin region and also up in the Efrayim-Menashsheh region. Once they’d finished that, they all returned to their own land and cities.

Here “possession” means possessions in general. Alternate translation: “to his own property” or “to his own home”
31:1 Following the purification and rededication of the Temple, the city of Jerusalem, and the people, Hezekiah initiated the third stage of his reform, purifying the entire land of pagan objects of worship, not only in Judah but also in the territories of the north.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
