BSB § Now when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and all the Canaanite kings along the coast heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the Israelites until they had crossed over, their hearts melted and their spirits failed for fear of the Israelites.

FBV When all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and all the Canaanite kings of the Mediterranean coast heard how the Lord had dried up the waters of the River Jordan so that the Israelites could cross over, their courage melted and they no longer had any fighting spirit to face the Israelites.

So they became very dismayed. They no longer were courageous enough to fight us.

LUT Da nun alle Könige der Amoriter, die jenseit des Jordans gegen Abend wohneten, und alle Könige der Kanaaniter am Meer höreten, wie der HErr das Wasser des Jordans hatte ausgetrocknet vor den Kindern Israel, bis daß sie hinübergingen, verzagte ihr Herz, und war kein Mut mehr in ihnen vor den Kindern Israel.
  (So now all kinge the Amoriter, the jenseit the Yordans gegen Abend wohneten, and all kinge the Kanaaniter in/at/on_the sea listenten, like the LORD the water the Yordans had ausgetrocknet before/in_front_of the Kindern Israel, until that they/she/them hinübergingen, verzagte her Herz, and was kein Mut mehr in ihnen before/in_front_of the Kindern Israel.)

CLV Postquam ergo audierunt omnes reges Amorrhæorum, qui habitabant trans Jordanem ad occidentalem plagam, et cuncti reges Chanaan, qui propinqua possidebant magni maris loca, quod siccasset Dominus fluenta Jordanis coram filiis Israël donec transirent, dissolutum est cor eorum, et non remansit in eis spiritus, timentium introitum filiorum Israël.
  (Postquam ergo audierunt everyone reges Amorrhæorum, who habitabant trans Yordanem to occidentalem plagam, and cuncti reges Chanaan, who propinqua possidebant magni maris loca, that siccasset Master fluenta Yordanis coram childrens Israël until transirent, dissolutum it_is heart eorum, and not/no remansit in eis spiritus, timentium introitum filiorum Israël.)

BRN And it came to pass when the kings of the Amorites who were beyond Jordan heard, and the kings of Phœnicia by the sea, that the Lord God had dried up the river Jordan from before the children of Israel when they passed over, that their hearts failed, and they were terror-stricken, and there was no sense in them because of the children of Israel.
