OET (OET-RV) “For they,” he said, “trust their weapons and daring deeds, but we trust in the almighty God, since he is able at a nod to cast down those who are coming against us, and even the whole world.”
BrLXX Οἱ μὲν γὰρ ὅπλοις πεποίθασιν ἅμα καὶ τόλμαις, ἔφησεν, ἡμεῖς δὲ ἐπὶ τῷ παντοκράτορι Θεῷ δυναμένῳ καὶ τοὺς ἐρχομένους ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς, καὶ τὸν ὅλον κόσμον ἐν ἑνὶ νεύματι καταβαλεῖν, πεποίθαμεν.
(Hoi men gar hoplois pepoithasin hama kai tolmais, efaʸsen, haʸmeis de epi tōi pantokratori Theōi dunamenōi kai tous erⱪomenous efʼ haʸmas, kai ton holon kosmon en heni neumati katabalein, pepoithamen. )
BrTr For they, said he, trust in their weapons and boldness; but our confidence is in the Almighty God, who at a beck can cast down both them that come against us, and also all the world.
