BrLXX Ἦν γὰρ ἡ πρὸ τοῦ σαββάτου, διʼ ἥν αἰτίαν οὐκ ἐμακροθύμησαν κατατρέχοντες αὐτούς.
(Aʸn gar haʸ pro tou sabbatou, diʼ haʸn aitian ouk emakrothumaʸsan katatreⱪontes autous. )
BrTr for it was the day before the sabbath, and therefore they would no longer pursue them.
