OET (OET-RV) When Maccabaeus had trained his men for service, the heathen at once found him irresistible, for the wrath of the Lord was turned into mercy.
BrLXX Γενόμενος δὲ ἐν συστήματι ὁ Μακκαβαῖος, ἀνυπόστατος ἤδη τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐγίνετο, τῆς ὀργῆς τοῦ Κυρίου εἰς ἔλεον τραπείσης.
(Genomenos de en sustaʸmati ho Makkabaios, anupostatos aʸdaʸ tois ethnesin egineto, taʸs orgaʸs tou Kuriou eis eleon trapeisaʸs. )
BrTr Now when Maccabeus had his company about him, he could not be withstood by the heathen: for the wrath of the Lord was turned into mercy.
