OET (OET-LV) And_Yəhōshūˊa/(Joshua) the_son_of Nūn he_was_full a_spirit_of wisdom if/because Mosheh he_had_laid DOM hands_of_his on/upon/above_him/it and_they_listened to_him/it the_people_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_they_did just_as he_had_commanded YHWH DOM Mosheh.
OET (OET-RV) Meanwhile, Nun’s son Yehoshua (Joshua) was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Mosheh had placed his hands on him and prayed over him, so the Israelis listened to him and did what Yahweh had commanded Mosheh.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
וִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ & מָלֵא֙ ר֣וּחַ חָכְמָ֔ה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Joshua son_of Nūn filled spirit_of wisdom that/for/because/then/when laid Mosheh DOM hands_of,his on/upon/above=him/it and,they_listened to=him/it sons_of Yisrael and,they_did just=as commanded YHWH DOM Mosheh )
The author is speaking of Joshua as if he were a container and the spirit of wisdom were a substance that could fill that container. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [And Joshua … had great wisdom] or [And Joshua … was very wise]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / possession
ר֣וּחַ חָכְמָ֔ה
spirit_of wisdom
The author is using the possessive form to describe a spirit that is characterized by wisdom. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [wisdom] or [a spirit that gave him wisdom] or [a wise spirit]
Note 3 topic: translate-symaction
סָמַ֥ךְ & אֶת־יָדָ֖יו עָלָ֑יו
laid & DOM hands_of,his on/upon/above=him/it
Moses’ laying his hands on Joshua was a symbolic action by which Moses showed that he was transferring authority to Joshua. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could explain the significance of this action in the text of your translation or in a footnote. Alternate translation: [had laid his hands on him to commission him as leader] or [had laid his hands on him to give him authority]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Joshua son_of Nūn filled spirit_of wisdom that/for/because/then/when laid Mosheh DOM hands_of,his on/upon/above=him/it and,they_listened to=him/it sons_of Yisrael and,they_did just=as commanded YHWH DOM Mosheh )
Here, sons means “descendants.” Moses is identifying the Israelites as descendants of their ancestor Jacob, who was also known as Israel. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the people of Israel]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּ אֵלָ֤יו בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Joshua son_of Nūn filled spirit_of wisdom that/for/because/then/when laid Mosheh DOM hands_of,his on/upon/above=him/it and,they_listened to=him/it sons_of Yisrael and,they_did just=as commanded YHWH DOM Mosheh )
Here the word listen means to intentionally hear and obey. You could say that explicitly if that would be helpful to your readers. See the discussion about this in the Introduction to Deuteronomy for further information. Alternate translation: [And the sons of Israel were obedient to him]
Note 6 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Joshua son_of Nūn filled spirit_of wisdom that/for/because/then/when laid Mosheh DOM hands_of,his on/upon/above=him/it and,they_listened to=him/it sons_of Yisrael and,they_did just=as commanded YHWH DOM Mosheh )
The author is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [what Yahweh had commanded Moses to command the Israelites]

OET (OET-RV) Meanwhile, Nun’s son Yehoshua (Joshua) was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Mosheh had placed his hands on him and prayed over him, so the Israelis listened to him and did what Yahweh had commanded Mosheh.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
