OET (OET-LV) And_it_glowed/burnt[fn] the_anger of_YHWH on_them and_he_went.
12:9 OSHB note: BHS has been faithful to the Leningrad Codex where there might be a question of the validity of the form and we keep the same form as BHS.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
וַיִּֽחַר אַ֧ף יְהוָ֛ה בָּ֖ם
and=it_glowed/burnt also/though YHWH on,them
The phrase the nose of Yahweh burned is a common expression of this culture that means that Yahweh is angry. If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and Yahweh’s anger burned against them] or [and Yahweh was enraged with them]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וַיֵּלַֽךְ
and,he_went
The implication is that Yahweh left the sacred tent where he had been speaking with Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. You could include this information if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [and he left the sacred tent]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
