ʼElˊāzār son_of ʼAhₐron the=priest/officer

The author is not distinguishing this Eleazar from another Eleazar who is not the son of Aaron the priest. The author is reminding his readers that this Eleazar was the son of Aaron who had succeeded him as priest. Be sure that this is clear in your translation. Alternate translation: [Eleazar, who was the son of Aaron and who had become the priest]
