uW Translation Notes:

וַיִּסְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

and,they_set_out sons_of Yisrael

Based on the previous chapter, the Israelites might have set out from Bashan. However, Numbers 33:48 indicates that the Israelites traveled to the plains of Moab from the mountains of Abarim. It is possible that the previous chapter describes the movements of the army, not the rest of the Israelites. It is also possible that Numbers 33 does not include all the places where the Israelites stopped. So, it is recommended that you do not explicitly indicate where the Israelites set out from in this verse. Alternate translation: [And the sons of Israel moved on] or [The Israelites continued to walk]

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / gendernotations

בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

sons_of Yisrael

Here the masculine term sons has a generic sense that includes both men and women. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use language in your translation that is clearly inclusive of both men and women. Alternate translation: [the descendants of Israel]

Note 2 topic: writing-newevent

וַיִּסְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙

and,they_set_out sons_of Yisrael and,they_encamped

The author is using the word translated as And to introduce a new event in the story. Use a word, phrase, or other method in your language that is natural for introducing a new event.
