The pronoun this could refer to: (1) what Paul said in the previous verse. Alternate translation: [Not only are we saved by his life, but] (2) what Paul said in [5:2–10](../05/02.md). Alternate translation: [Not only are all these things true, but]

Paul speaks of these people as if they were boasting inside of God. Paul means that these believers in Christ boast about how great God is. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [we also are boasting about how great God is] or [we also are boasting because of God]
