TSNTyndale Study Notes:

15:18 Samson cried out to the Lord, as he feared dying of thirst and falling prey to the defeated pagans (literally uncircumcised ones; see study note on 14:3). Samson twice prayed deep and passionate prayers, once when he feared being attacked, and once when he was attacking others (16:28-30).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

אַתָּה֙ נָתַ֣תָּ בְיַֽד־עַבְדְּךָ֔ אֶת־הַתְּשׁוּעָ֥ה הַגְּדֹלָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את

you(ms) given in/on/at/with,hand_of servant_of,your DOM the,victory the=big/large/great(fs) the,this

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of salvation, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [You have enabled your servant to do this great deed to help save your people]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / 123person

בְיַֽד־עַבְדְּךָ֔

in/on/at/with,hand_of servant_of,your

Samson is speaking about himself in the third person. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate this in the first person. Alternate translation: [by my hand]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

וְעַתָּה֙ אָמ֣וּת בַּצָּמָ֔א וְנָפַלְתִּ֖י בְּיַ֥ד הָעֲרֵלִֽים

and=now die in/on/at/with,thirst and,fall in/on/at/with,hands_of the,uncircumcised

Samson is using the question form for emphasis. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [and now I do not want to die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised!]

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

בְּיַ֥ד הָעֲרֵלִֽים

in/on/at/with,hands_of the,uncircumcised

Samson is using the word uncircumcised by association to mean the Philistines, who did not practice circumcision. Alternate translation: [into the hand of the Philistines]
