OET (OET-LV) and they_are_crying_out with_a_voice loud saying:
- salvation to_the god of_us, to_the one sitting on the throne and to_the lamb.
OET (OET-RV) and they were shouting loudly, “Our God who’s sitting on the throne has saved us! The lamb has saved us!”
In this section, John saw a new part of this vision. He saw believers rejoicing, praising, and worshiping in heaven. One of the elders around the throne (4:4) explained the vision to John.
Other examples of headings for this section are:
The vision of a huge crowd of believers and its explanation

And they cried out in a loud voice:
They shouted in a loud voice, (NJB)
They were saying/chanting loudly,
And they cried out in a loud voice: Here this clause indicates that these people shouted loudly because they felt very strongly about what they were saying. They strongly desired to praise God and Jesus. Another way to translate this clause is:
they shouted (CEV)
The Greek grammar probably indicates that they shouted the words of 7:10b–d repeatedly. For example:
they were shouting with a mighty shout (NLT)
they chanted loudly
“Salvation to our God,
“Salvation comes from our God, (GNT)
“Our(incl) God is the one who is able to save us!”
Salvation to our God: This clause indicates that God is the source of salvation. For example:
Salvation comes from our God…! (GNT)
Our God…has the power to save his people (CEV)
The one who saved us, it is our GodKankanaey Back Translation on TW.
Concerning our God…, he is the one who saved us.Otomi Back Translation on TW.
Salvation: This noun refers to the event of someone rescuing another person. God saves people. Here it may refer to saving people from hell, or the terrible things in this book or something else. If possible, do not say what people are saved from.
In some languages it is more natural to translate Salvation using a verb. For example:
Our God has the power to save
Our God has made the way to save us!
In some languages it is necessary to say whom God saves. For example:
Our God …has the power to save his people (CEV)
Our God is the one who saves us(incl)!
In some languages it is necessary to say what God saves people from. If that is true in your language, refer in a general manner to death or danger. For example:
Saving people from death
who sits on the throne,
who is seated as king on the throne,
He reigns/rules from his place/seat of ruling!
who sits on the throne: The clause who sits on the throne indicates that God rules as king.
In some languages translating the purpose of the throne is more natural. For example:
who rules as king over everything
This clause tells the reader more about God. In some languages a literal translation would wrongly indicate that there are other gods and, only this one sits on the throne. If that is true in your language, translate this clause so that it tells more about God. One way to do that is to start a new sentence here. For example:
He sits on the throne as king
throne: See how you translated this word at 3:21 or 4:9.
and to the Lamb!”
and salvation also comes from the Lamb!”
And the Lamb is also the one who is able to save us!”
and to the Lamb: Here, this phrase indicates that salvation also belongs to the Lamb. That is, Jesus and God together are the source of salvation. In some languages it is more natural to repeat some information in 7:10b. For example:
and salvation also belongs to the Lamb!
and the Lamb has the power to save!

ἡ σωτηρία τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν, τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπὶ τῷ θρόνῳ καὶ τῷ Ἀρνίῳ
(Some words not found in SR-GNT: καί κράζουσιν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγοντες Ἡ σωτηρία τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπί τῷ θρόνῳ καί τῷ Ἀρνίῳ)
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of Salvation, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [Our God, who is the one sitting on the throne, and the Lamb are the ones who have saved us]

τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπὶ τῷ θρόνῳ
˱to˲_the ˱to˲_the_‹one› sitting the ˱to˲_the (Some words not found in SR-GNT: καί κράζουσιν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγοντες Ἡ σωτηρία τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπί τῷ θρόνῳ καί τῷ Ἀρνίῳ)
The people in the great multitude are describing God’s supreme ruling power and authority by association with the way he is sitting on the throne, a symbol of that power and authority. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the ruler of all]
7:10 Ancient victory parades, heralding the accomplishments of conquerors, included loud chants. The shout of Salvation (“victory,” “deliverance”) honors God’s triumph and prepares readers for his reign.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
