ULT And the king said, “Is there no longer anyone of the house of Saul that I may do with him the kindness of God?”
¶  And Ziba said to the king, “Still a son belongs to Jonathan, a cripple of feet.”

UST The king asked him, “Is there anyone in Saul’s family to whom I can act kindly, as I promised God that I would do?” Ziba replied, “Yes, there is one son of Jonathan who is still alive. His feet are crippled.”

9:3 “I promised before God”: David is probably remembering the mutual promise shared with Jonathan. 1 Samuel 20:42.
