uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / hyperbole

עֲשָׂרָ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִכֹּ֖ל לְשֹׁנ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם

ten men from=all language_of the=nations

Yahweh is making an extreme statement, saying ten men from every language of the nations, to emphasize the great number of foreigners who will seek to worship him. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express the emphasis in a different way. Alternate translation: [countless people from every language and nation]

Note 2 topic: translate-symaction

יַחֲזִ֨יקוּ֙ & וְֽהֶחֱזִ֡יקוּ בִּכְנַף֩

take_hold_of & and,they_will_take_hold on,the_skirt_of

Grabbing the hem of someone’s robe was a symbolic action that expressed a strong desire to accompany that person. If this would not be understood in your culture, you could use a comparable symbolic action from your culture or describe what this action meant. Alternate translation: [will beg to come along with]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / reduplication

יַחֲזִ֨יקוּ֙ & וְֽהֶחֱזִ֡יקוּ בִּכְנַף֩

take_hold_of & and,they_will_take_hold (Some words not found in UHB: thus he/it_had_said YHWH armies/messengers in_the=days (the),those which/who take_hold_of ten men from=all language_of the=nations and,they_will_take_hold on,the_skirt_of (a)_man Jew to=say go with,you(pl) that/for/because/then/when heard ʼElohīm [is]_with,you(pl) )

Yahweh is repeating forms of the verb will grab in order to intensify his expression of the idea that it conveys. If your language can repeat words for intensification, it would be appropriate to do that here in your translation. If not, your language may have another way of expressing the intensification. Alternate translation: [will grab tightly the hem of]

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / quotesinquotes

לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵֽלְכָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים עִמָּכֶֽם

to=say go with,you(pl) that/for/because/then/when heard ʼElohīm [is]_with,you(pl)

If it would be clearer in your language, you could translate this so that there is not a quotation within a quotation. For example, you could translate the direct quotation as an indirect quotation. Alternate translation: [saying that they want to go with him because they have heard that God is with him]
