TSNTyndale Study Notes:

15:1-33 The principle of normal and abnormal and the created order again aids the interpretation of these regulations (see “Clean, Unclean, and Holy” Theme Note). Bodily discharges, such as infections (see study note on 13:1-46), were not “normal” because they weakened the vitality of the person, so the person was not seen as whole. Whether male (15:1-18) or female (15:19-33), such a person became unclean.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-condition-hypothetical

וְאִ֕ישׁ כִּֽי־

and,man that/for/because/then/when

See how you translated this expression in 13:2. See also the discussion of this phrase in the introduction to this book.

כִּֽי־תֵצֵ֥א מִמֶּ֖נּוּ שִׁכְבַת־זָ֑רַע

that/for/because/then/when goes_out from=him/it emission seed

Alternate translation: “when he experiences an ejaculation”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

אֶת־כָּל־בְּשָׂר֖וֹ

DOM all/each/any/every body,his

Whereas elsewhere, the word flesh usually refers specifically to a person’s genitals, here the expression all his flesh refers to a man’s entire body. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “his whole body”
