Here the word For introduces the reason why Solomon feels he can ask Yahweh to respond to all the different kinds of prayers he has described. This is the beginning of the conclusion to the prayer. This conclusion continues through verse 53. If the connection between what Solomon says here and what he has said previously is not clear, you may want to use a different connecting word or phrase to show how the relationship. The UST models one way to do that.

Solomon is speaking of the people of Israel as if they were something that Yahweh had inherited as a lasting possession. He is referring to the Israelites as the people who belong to Yahweh perpetually. If it would be clearer in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Here, furnace of iron describes a furnace that is characterized by the working or smelting of iron. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Solomon is alluding to [Deuteronomy 4:20](../04/20.md), where Moses calls Egypt a “furnace of iron” to represent that the Israelites suffered greatly there, as if they had been iron melting inside such a very hot furnace.
