Here Mark is referring to the man who had been demon-possessed until Jesus forced the demons out. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make that idea more explicit. See how you expressed the similar phrase in [5:15](../05/15.md). Alternate translation: [the one who used to be demon-possessed]
